How do your preorders work?

When a preorder is placed, your spot is reserved for one of the first copies of the purchased game that Board Game Bandit receives. A preorder does not guarantee you a game for the posted release date. Games will ship on or after the release date posted on the game's product page. These dates are subject to change without notice.

Games are allocated on a first come-first serve basis. If all games from the initial quantity received are allocated, any remaining preorders will be filled as restock shipments arrive. Preordering reserves you a copy of the game without having to worry about missing out every time it goes out of stock.

Payments for preorders are captured immediately. If desired, refunds for preorder games can be requested at any point prior to the order being shipped.

Preorders can be cancelled at anytime without notice at the discretion of the Board Game Bandit team. In the event your preorder is cancelled, a refund will be issued to your original method of payment and you will receive a notice via email.

My order contains both preorders and in-stock items, when will my order ship?

All orders containing any preorder titles will ship when the latest title arrives. In-stock items will be held until the preorder items are released, at that point the entire order will be shipped to you. All in-stock items will be held in reserve until the preorder release date. In the event that an order has more than one preorder title in it, the order will be held and shipped when all games are released and available.

Can you ship the in-stock titles now and my preorders on release?

Absolutely! If you'd prefer not to wait to receive your in-stock items until the release of a preorder title, please contact us. Split order shipments will result in an additional Standard Shipping charge of $9.99-$19.99 (see rates by province here) for each incremental shipment. This includes orders that qualify for Free Shipping.

Do preorders qualify for Free Shipping?

Yes, all preorder games are included in the Free Standard Shipping promotion. If your order surpasses $150 prior to taxes and shipping fees, regardless of the combination of preorder vs. in-stock games, your order qualifies for free Standard Shipping upon the availability/release of all items.

Can I cancel my preorder?

Preorders can be cancelled at any point prior to the shipment of your order. If you have already received your shipping notification email for your preorder game your order can no longer be cancelled. If you wish to return your order you can follow the instructions outlined on our Returns Policy page.
