Middle Eastern cuisine includes a huge variety of foods, but the common thread is the vibrant spices and herbs that help to make dishes with deep and complex flavors. It’s comfort food that’s meant to be shared, with usually enough food piled onto the table to feed a small country. It is not a real Middle Eastern meal if you don’t have the obligatory mezze platter, salad, main dish and some sort of delectable sweet to end with.
